The newgrange wedding band below is inspired by the ancient stone engravings at Newgrange, Ireland's most famous ancient monument. On the Winter Solstice, the light of the rising sun enters the roofbox at Newgrange and penetrates the passage, shining onto the floor of the inner chamber. The sunbeam illuminates the chamber of Newgrange for just 17 minutes.

The motto of the claddagh, "Let love and friendship reign," is there to see in the sight of a heart being caressed by loving hands, and capstoned by a simple crown. This sentiment makes the claddagh a beautiful symbol of love and commitment in the form of the claddagh wedding band.
