The Irish Rose Ring

This ring is 2.5cm wide and 1.0cm high. It is made up of different layers of gold, graduating from 25.0mm to 2.0mm. There are eight layers, starting with yellow, red white and alternating all the way to the top with the centre being red gold.
The layers are moveable to show it has been handmade. The shank is 3.25mm flat yellow gold. The ring weighs 16.0gms and has a 9k gold hallmark for Dublin. The ring would make a beautiful dress ring. This ring won an award for best design and workmanship and was an exhibition piece.
